Guide - Manage Credits and Utilizations

Objective

If you currently track credits and incentives on an internal system it will be necessary for that internal system to integrate with Incentify to facilitate automated synching of subsidiary/client Credits and Utilizations to avoid double entry and maintain strict user access (IAM) policies.

Key Portfolio Resources:

  • Credit
  • Utilization

Note: Credits MUST be attached to a Project, therefore, we recommend this guide first: Manage Projects

Steps to Implement

Step 1 - Manage Credit

Create and update Credits within specific Projects and control User Access according to the User Access options that Incentify supports (more on this below)

Recommended User Access Options when creating/updating a Credit:

  1. Simple/Broad: Most often Users who have access to the Project have access to all of its Credits, and this is the desired access control. In this situation, you do not need to set any access rules at the Credit level as they are automatically inherited from the Project level. In other words, those who have access to the Project automatically have access to all of the Credits within that Project.
  2. Granular: If a User does NOT have Project level access, you can provide Entity Access level to the Credit. This will allow the User to have access to this Credit without having access to take Action on the Project or any of its other Credits (unless explicity granted access to those Objects). Step 2 - Manage Utilization

Create and update Utilizations within specific Credits.

Users who have access to the Project and/or Credit of this Utilization will have access to the Utilization. In other words, Utilizations inherit the access from the hierarchy. Learn more about Entity Access
