Guide - Manage Projects
Objective
Incentify can serve as a downstream credits and incentives management system from your internal project/client engagement management system. If this is the case, it is often necessary for that internal system to integrate with Incentify to facilitate automated synching of subsidiary/client Projects to avoid double entry and maintain strict user access (IAM) policies.
Key Portfolio Resources:
- Project
Steps to Implement
Step 1 - Manage Project
Create and update Projects within specific Accounts and control User Access according to the User Access options that Incentify supports (more on this below)
- POST a Project to Project - Create/Update
Recommended User Access Options when creating/updating a Project:
- Simple/Broad: Set the Access Policy to
all_internalto grant access to all Internal Users within an Account, and then (if applicable) set it toall_userswhen you are ready for External Users (ie; clients/partners) to view/access it as well. A use case here would be creating a Project within a Client (Child) Account and allowing the X number of Advisor Users within this Client Account to view/access the Project - and then setting it to allow all Y number of Client Users within the Client Account to view/access it. - Granular: Set the Access Policy to
privateon the Project and then set each individual User's access (both Internal and External) on the project by setting Entity Access records. If there is a need to only provide access to specific (but not all) Credits within this Project, then you should set that User's Entity Access at the Credit level.
Possible Next Steps
If you currently track credits/incentives and their monetization milestones ("utilizations") within an existing internal system, you can also sync that data inside of their respective Projects on Incentify.
If this is the case, please check out the next Guide: Manage Credits and Utilizations
